why did my bathroom towel bars bend?

I have two towel bars in different locations in my bathroom and within the lst few months, both of them have huge dents in them. Can this be caused by settling?

1. if you have kids..no offense to you or them..but they like to hang on them..
2. A neighbor told me that she held on to hers while her husband gave it to her, seriously.
3. the towel was too heavy for the bar
4. Cheap towel bars...buy some heavier duty ones.
5. Do you have a small child that might be hanging from them?
6. No settling problems here. Sounds more like children hanging on them or possibly way too many wet towels hanging on them. It's something that as a builder that I would not warranty.
7. Buy better bars.
8. we use 3/4 inch dowel rod for your bars so they do not bend
9. Don't think that would happen. Do you have kids? Maybe they were swinging on them. Never heard about towel bars bending because of house settling.
